Got some time on the weekend or Easter break to work in the garden? Here is a tip from Myles to get you started…
Now is a good time to get your Virginia Creeper under control. Cut back the wayward strands and tie the useful ones on to your wires or pergola. Remove the dead wood and sweep up the leaves.
Virginia Creeper leaves make a really good addition to your compost because they decompose easily and make a good ‘Dry ingredient’ to the compost recipe along with the ‘wet’ ingredients like that broccoli that’s been sitting in the vegie drawer for three weeks.
It’s also a good time to introduce yourself to your neighbors and apologise for all of the leaves by their front door. Encourage them to compost too.
